If you have a stable IP (one that doesn't change), it can be used to hack into your computer. With a dynamic IP, you cannot be traced.

Speaking of Global National Weekend, it seems like we haven't really talked about the show itself too much, what exactly did people think of it?

Well, it's pretty much like the regular Global National. The only differences are that it's not "with Kevin Newman" and there's a short 1-2 minutes "Rewind" segment at the end of Saturday's show reporting the major news of the week. They did, however, made a booboo yesterday by showing a graphic with "with Kevin Newman"; it's fixed today, tho. Overall, nothing too exciting and noteworthy from my opinion, but it's nice that GN is now available 7 days a week.

Yeah, I thought the Sunday version was a little better than Saturday's for mess-ups. Overall, probably a 7/10 for their first try doing this, which is great.

You haven't seen Global Edmonton yet then... they have by far THE best news product anywhere in Alberta. Whoa, whoa, hey, hey. I'm not going to ban you, but wow, that was a little uncalled for. CTV doesn't pay me to do anything - if they did, this board would be called CTV Central or something of that nature. My dislike for Global's news programming is personal, not influenced by the network I work for. I chose CTV for my work experience because, a) not only were they more open to letting high school students in to see what happens, but b) I would rather work there, at a network with a high reputation and a longer history of excellence than at a network who only really formed to what the Global execs wanted, 4-6 years ago. I do not like Global because although the anchors are talented, well-spoken and definitely good, the news production is terrible. Every time I watch BCTV News, I see at least two things that go wrong, compared to watching CTV or Citytv, when I see none, or maybe the occasional one. But errors should not happen every newscast. You have the right to make comments about the way CTV broadcasts, but you shouldn't do it if there's nothing substantially wrong with what you're criticising. When I say "I don't like Global, I don't watch it" - that's exactly the truth: I don't like the station, so I choose not to watch it. There's nothing else hidden in that statement. If that doesn't clarify anything for you, Ben, just ask another question and I will answer it. Otherwise, let's get back on topic, seeing as today's the big day.
