The contract to air reruns probably expired and they didn't renew. The show ended 4 years ago. It probably doesn't draw as much of an audience anymore. If you really want to keep watching it, buy the dvds. All 9 seasons are out. Or, if you don't want to spend money you can go the "illegal" route and download the seasons.
And if you haven't seen the current season of 24, you're missing fantastic television. Yes season 3 and 4 were not up to snuff, but it's made a huge comeback from a writing perspective.

It's BAAACK! I missed it too, and in fact I called their programming director twice when it went off the air in the spring, to ask if/when it would be coming back (she couldn't tell me). It's now on at 12:30 am Pacific time on Channel M: www.channelm.ca/index.php?module=ContentExpress&func=display&ceid=730 . Last night was the first night I saw it listed and they showed Season One Episode Two, so perhaps they're starting from the beginning again.
