Would be an existing franchise moving to Vancouver, or a new one altogether?
Anyhoo, who would air the games? I've read that during the Grizziles era, BCTV, CHEK and VTV/CTV all had aired it at one stage...

Here's the deal. Apparently Paul Allen (former co-founder of Microsoft if you don't already know) wants to move his NBA Team, The Portland Trailblazers. So of course with the rumors of a team moving, a bunch of potential cities will have groups lobbying for the team to move to their city. Vancouver is apparently one of them. I guess the main reason it's getting press is because Vancouver is somwhat close to Portland being in the northwest and Paul Allen is from Seattle, another city close to Vancouver.

And we're the only one's who has a facility readily available to play NBA games. However, according to Squire Barnes, the NBA probably doesn't want to hear Vancouver and NBA team in the same sentence.
