Anybody capture his newscast yesterday or tonight? I'd like to see how he did on his first and second days. EDIT: Never mind, I keep thinking it's Sunday tonight. Guess I'll just watch it tomorrow

Well the weekend News Hour got a slightly new format. Chris Gailus did the News Break @ ~5:50 pm and started today's newscast standing beside the giant plasma screen, which had "Top Story" on it. Then he went back to the anchor desk for the rest of the segment, and went back to the plasma screen during another segment. Mark Madryga was at Swangard Stadium tonight, so the preview to weather and sports @ ~6:20 pm was a bit different than what we've seen before. There was a new three camera display, where the anchor screen was slightly larger than the other two. The middle one was titled "Weather", and the rightmost one was titled "Sports", with Barry Delay in the "Global Sports Centre", which is his office desk with sports memorabilia in the background! Barry went back to the anchor desk when hosting the sports segment. Chris Gailus LOL'd and commented many times during Barry's segment, which was somewhat annoying... maybe that'll take a little time to get used to. Hopefully you'll be able to catch tomorrow's newscast.... it's much better to see it yourself than read somebody else's story.

I was very impressed with him. He's a great anchor and a great fit for the station. He'll be a great sucessor to Tony Parsons.

I dont really like the split screen with mark in front of the greenscreen or "weather center" and barry in the sports office. Dont know who's idea that is/was maybe the producer is trying somthing new or Gailus just has to much say.
