Did anyone notice?... Global BC played yesterday's NewsBreak instead of today's after Global National at 5:57pm. How could they make such an incredible mistake?

SO many problems tonight on the News Hour... choppy videos, missing audio tracks, power spikes, wrong newsroom lighting (too bright), accidental high beam on Chris Gailus, etc. Chris apologized a few times on the air and at one time had to cut to commercials prematurely.

Playing wrong newsbreaks is one problem that happens when you consolidate all your master control operations to one place. In this case close to all of the Global and CH stations in the west are controlled out of Calgary. Any recorded footage, promos or newsbreaks are fed over to Calgary and then spit back out on the air back to whatever city it came from. In theory.

Did they update the tech at Global Calgary, and btw imo... Each station should control there own feeds and what not, like Global BC's.. with a CR that they have they should.

The master control facilities at Global Calgary are being upgraded, and EVERYONE was getting old newsbreaks. In Calgary, the newsbreaks from the day before were being aired, while the right ones were being aired in Lethbridge (the Lethbridge ones were no where to be seen).
It's a new system, give it time. I never saw any of these problems for the last 8 years the Alberta stations were centralized in Calgary.
