I was just searching around, and i came across what i thought was a long lost site, Edmonton Television. There are some broken links, and the screenshots aren't working, but there is alot of useful stuff there...now if we could only get CDN TV back online, i'd be in heaven! www.telusplanet.net/public/dlui1/edmtv/global.html

I think that's actually the EDTV site that was abandoned a while back. If you go to the index page, you'll notice that it was last updated 2 years ago. If EDTV was back online, Manny would've told me.

My guess is they'll wait til at least fall 2005 (next year) to do it. CRTC has to do its bureaucratic nonsense anyway, so that will delay station rebranding in an already crowded Alberta local market.

Yeah Tim, you're probably right... the CRTC sucks and seems pretty useless...

Why does CKRD have to become CH? I thought Red Deer had its own market, separate from Calgary and Edmonton. Why don't they just make it Global? It is Lethbridge (CISA) that shouldn't be Global, as it is already in the Calgary market. Of course, I don't think CH should exist anywhere outside the original CH in Hamilton. Global shouldn't get to own so many stations.

Actually, Lethbridge does not receive Calgary's Global transmission. The only station it gets is CFCN, they're receiving CBC Edmonton now for some reason. Just as bizarre as Cranbrook and Radium Hot Springs receiving Global Edmonton when they're closer to Calgary and Lethbridge.
They're not going to make it Global Red Deer because they already get a Global station in the market (Edmonton). This way, it'll create a second Canwest station for two growing Alberta markets to share.

What I (formerly "I miss CJOH") meant, is that CISA shouldn't be there, so close to Calgary - I knew that it was separate from CICT. I thought I read somewhere though that Red Deer has its own market by definition, that does not include Edmonton or Calgary. If that is in fact the case then I would like to see it become Global, and CISA do something else.

Calgary - Lethbridge = ~215 km Calgary - Red Deer = ~135 km Which market should be separate?

Well, it's not there, the email doesn't work anymore, and the Internet Wayback machine can only give me text from that.
Did anyone download any video files I could have maybe?
Dang. I'll stick to here, then.
