I am very confused about this. Was CBC News: World Today Newsworld Today? I remember a few months ago I was watching Newsworld Today with Christopher Thomas in Toronto. Have i missed something or has CBC Newsworld changed Newsworld Today from Toronto to CBC News: World Today?

Funny, as I thought the same thing a few days ago...Newsworld Today still exists, it's on after Nancy Wilson and CBC News: Today, throughout the morning. CBC News: World Today is on at 1:30 PT only. Check the CBC Schedule on the Newsworld Page for more... www.cbc.ca/newsworld

CBC News doesn't learn from it's mistakes; it just slowly moves back to it's old ways. The reason of the 2001 graphic change where all shows were given similar openings, themes etc, was, in CBC's own words, "To get rid of the logo craziness"...fast forward a 3 years, and Newsworld is now just a channel name, EVERYTHING is called "CBC News" (the hour ,venture, marketplace) and they've completely gone back to there old ways, every program uses a different set and different graphics. And to top it off, the National is done in front of a chroma key about 80% of the show...what the heck is CBC thinking?

Well im glad that a lot of shows have their own graphics.. I never really liked the "generic look" that CBC has adopted. Expecially the L3s they look boring. But yea. CBC seriously doesn't know what they are doing. But the Main CBC network is what erks me. All they seem to do is continue to have these "legacy" news and public affairs shows even if they only have fewer than 200,000 per show. They have Dramas that are good but VERY hard to notice, they hardly promote any sort of new show and they put shows in BAD timeslots. Imo, CBC has this stuffy out of date feel to it. Which is just sad.

Fortunately I think there are some variations between different regions for Canada Now. CBET Windsor does not use the standard CBC News font for their L3s, they use Helvetica. CBLT Toronto uses very odd weather graphics that don't at all fit the CBC News colour scheme. CBNT in Newfoundland has pretty good weather graphics, higher quality than CBC tends to use.

I actually liked their generic look (and a lot more than CTV and Global's). They looked pretty clean and professional, which pretty much fit my own minimalist style.
