Anyone see excerpts or watch the entire television interview with Karla Homolka?
(To get this out of the way - it aired during SRC's Le TeleJournal\Le Point last night - and with English subtitles on CBC News: The National... I believe it was a 25-minute interview, and CBC aired 15 minutes of it).

Pardon me, a shorter version of the interview aired on the early edition (9 PM eastern) of The National on CBC Newsworld... a longer version aired on the main network's edition at 10 PM...

Yeah, I saw it. And I do believe she won't be a danger anymore. She seems genuine.
(but that's beside the point, I guess.)

Hmmm... I don't really think she's remorseful. I think she's very sorry she was caught... but I don't think she'll reoffend. Why? Because she'd have to be really, really stupid to do so - and she is, in fact, a very intelligent person. Intelligent - and unfortunately, a terrible human being.
She said many of the right things - and said them well. Was she genuine? I don't think so...
If what she says is true - that she has a good relationship with her family - then she is very lucky.

The french let her off easy. The questions were softballs! What a joke. She is a killer. it was a shame they treated her with such kid gloves. Will Karla soon be working at CBC? Is that why they were so kind to her? And we pay for this bullshit? The press has the power to shame someone, especially when the justice system doesn't work.

This was the work of a crafted and skilled journalist who kept her cool even knowing what Homolka has done in the past. The interviwer showed journalistic professionalism.
