I wonder how much longer 7850 Enterprise will be around for? It's getting quite crowded in there. Next to CBC Vancouver (circa 1953 I believe), they are the second oldest television building in the Lower Mainland (circa building completion 1961) CHAN facilites are smaller however to that of CBUT. I do believe they will be perm housed at their current location at Enterprise.

One more reply tonight, since I can't seem to get all my thoughts down in one post...
I think a good reason why CTV west of BC - and BCTV/Global do as well as they do is because of the queen of the media world herself: Oprah. She leads into their newscasts - and she's a fantastic lead-in. The same holds true for many US stations. Many people just don't bother changing the channel afterwards...
Now, I'm not saying she's the only reason why those stations will get higher ratings... but she's definitely a big help. And higher ratings doesn't always mean better quality - just better bragging rights.

The Current CBC building was built in the 70's...CTV's is even older, but it underwent a complete interior and exterior renovation, so virtually nothing of the original structure remmains.

That's why I think CTV should do what KOMO 4 does and have a 4:00pm newscast.

That's why I think CTV should do what KOMO 4 does and have a 4:00pm newscast. Won't happen. Competition at 4pm is heavy. Do you remember when KSTW attempted a 4pm newscast? Doomed... CTV-BC will keep their exclusive (the only CTV station on the network) Friends reruns at 4pm.
