There's been an Air France Flight 358 from Paris to Toronto that overshot the runway and crashed at Pearson Int'l Airport. So far, there have been no fatalities. This happened around 3 pm (ET) 12 pm (PT).
Global National right now is Live, Coast to Coast w/ Tara Nelson at the desk. Before, it was simulcast w/ Jacqueline Milzarek at Global Ontario. I'm also presuming that Tara Nelson went live earlier as well.
I didn't see CTV's coverage, but I think it is safe to say, that CTV did national coverage when the crash happened. With video from CTV.ca, Tom Clark, who is in for Lloyd Robertson again this week, was anchoring CTV's coverage.
CBC has had ongoing coverage on both the main network and Newsworld.
To anyone who has seen it, please let us know. And to our Toronto posters, let us know how the coverage has been over there, especially at the local level, where we won't necessarily see it, at least without satellite.

Apparently even newschannels in the UK have been simulcasting coverage from Canada.

Aussies saw mainly CBC coverage (with the CBC logo in the bottom corner), although I did see CTV graphics as well. The Nine Network's Today show spoke to Brendan Conner (Am I correct?) from CBLT (CBC) Toronto. The market leader, Seven Network's Sunrise did very little.

All those three networks, plus CityTV/CP24 were being used in the UK.

I saw the CTV coverage, which indeed was Tom Clark anchoring. Dave Devall and Jim Junkin of CFTO were also there - Dave was talking about the weather conditions, and Jim was giving his own commentary, including talking about how such an incident had occurred previously at Pearson. They even showed some CFTO film footage from 1978 of an Air Canada plane that went into a ravine.
