Yeah - it was mediocre at best, IMO. They haven't really learned much from CityNews' demise, it seems.

What's the setup like in Ontario? CityNews is still airing from 6-7, if I recall correctly...are they integrating it as a segment during the show? Wouldn't surprise me, seeing Gord Martineau on the CNI website.
It'll be a flop out west. That style of broadcasting just does not work outside the GTA.

CityNews International is only airing on CablePulse24 or CP24 at 8 PM EST and at 10:30 PM EST. In Winnipeg, Edmonton and Calgary it is aired at 6 PM and in Vancouver it is aired at 6:30 PM. There is also a small CityNews International segment every weeknight on CityNews at Six in Toronto. Anyways about CNI, I really don't like it because they put so much international news onto it, it just doesn't seem like something in Canada, more CNN-like. But I guess that's why it's called "CityNews International" I would rather a localized and national newscast like Global National, CTV National News and CBC News: The National.
